SALT LAKE CITY – Randon Hostert and his Idaho Falls Bandits will play in the American Legion World Series today (Tuesday, August 20) on ESPN News at 4:30 p.m.
Â
Hostert will take the mound for the Bandits after leading them to this point by winning their first region title as he threw back-to-back no hitters in the Northwest Regional Tournament.
Â
The right-handed pitcher got drafted in the 15th round by the Texas Rangers, but chose to attend Utah to play baseball.
Â
Hostert led Bonneville HS to back-to-back state championships his junior and senior seasons and threw a one-hitter in the championship game this past season.
Â
This will be the Idaho Falls Bandits first chance to win the American Legion World Series.
