SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Softball announced its schedule for the upcoming 2020 season today.
"We are excited to take another step in the right direction this season, head coach
Amy Hogue said. "We made strides throughout last season and really improved down the stretch in Pac-12 play. We hope to get off to a good start and use that positive momentum to propel us forward in 2020."
Utah will play a total of 53 games, 27 against NCAA Tournament teams from 2019, as well as contests against the U.S. and Mexican National squads featuring former Utes
Hannah Flippen and
Anissa Urtez.
"It will be difficult competing against Hannah and Anissa because I want to either coach them or cheer for them, not try to beat them. These two games are necessary though, and will give our team an opportunity to compete against the best in the world."
Utah will take part in four non-conference tournaments before hosting 18 contests, including four Pac-12 series, at Dumke Family Softball Stadium. The Utes will play 17 games, four conference series and five non-conference games, on the Pac-12 Networks. An additional 11 games will be streamed via UtahUtes.com.
"The Pac-12 is the best conference out there and we have a young team that should be exciting to watch. Our schedule provides us with great opportunities to achieve the goals we have talked about since the beginning of fall practice."

Utah will host four Pac-12 foes at home this season, starting with the reigning national champions, No. 1 UCLA (Mar 21-23) at Dumke Family Softball Stadium. The Utes also host No. 24 Arizona State (Mar. 27-29), Oregon State (Apr. 9-11) and close with Stanford (Apr. 24-26).

The final tournament of the season occurs Mar. 6-7 with the Utes traveling to Oklahoma. Utah will play No. 2 OU and No. 6 OSU in Norman and Stillwater with an additional two games against opponents to be announced
