SALT LAKE CITY – After not racing for 10-plus months, the Utah track & field team is set to compete this weekend down in College Station, Texas, for the Aggie Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 23. Saturday's meet will be Utah's first indoor race since the MPSF Championships back on Feb. 29, 2020.

STARTING BLOCK
In its first race of the 2021 season, Utah will send 11 runners to College Station in its indoor season-opener. Of the 11, Mckenna McCloy and
Kelise Davis will be making their debuts as Utes. In total, the Utah will be competing in six events. McCloy is set to make her debut in the 60m dash while Davis will make her debut in the 200m dash.

Taylor Watson will get her first crack at the 60m dash record (7.61) she broke last year on Saturday while the school record-breaking 4x400m relay team (3:40.39) will get a new addition with Davis running the lead leg followed by
Lauren O'Banion,
Oneillia Fuller and
Jackie Martin as the anchor.
Whitney Hessler will serve as the alternate should one of her teammates can't run the 4x400m relay with it being the second to last event of the day. Â

Kyle Kepler added 10 new comers to the team with the additions of

Maddie Reed,
Claire Rusovick,
Meghan Curtin,
Kelise Davis,
Delaney Gates,
Makenna McCloy,
Annie Murdock and
Bailey Kealamakia.

Of the 10, Jensen, Kealamakia, McCloy and Murdock hail from the Beehive State while Reed and Rusovick are from neighboring Colorado. Davis, who transferred from Nevada after running an indoor season with the Wolfpack this past season, is from Arizona while
Delaney Gates is from California. Connor joins the Utes all the way from New Zealand while Curtin comes to Utah as a grad transfer from Quinnipiac.
