Rising tabbed Offensive Player of the Week; Daniels named Offensive Line Player of the Week
SAN FRANCISCO – University of Utah junior quarterback Cameron Rising and junior offensive lineman Braeden Daniels have earned a pair of Pac-12 awards, the league announced on Monday. Rising was named the Offensive Player of the Week, and Daniels was named the league's Offensive Line Player of the Week following Utah's Saturday night's victory over No. 7 USC.

In Utah's victory over the Trojans, Rising finishing the game 30-of-44 passing for a career-high 415 passing yards (2 TDs) and 60 rushing yards (3 TDs), also catching a ball for nine yards. The junior was responsible for 475 of Utah's 562 yards of total offense.

Out of Utah's 31 first downs on Saturday against the Trojans, Rising produced 22 of them, which included 18 with his arm and four by his legs. His 415 passing yards was the first 400-yard passing game by a Utah quarterback since 2005 (Brian Johnson vs. San Diego State, 417) with his three rushing scores being the most by a Ute QB since 2014 (Travis Wilson vs. Colorado State).
Through seven games, Rising ranks fourth nationally in ESPN's Total QBR Rating (89.4), which leads all Pac-12 quarterbacks. He also ranks ninth in the FBS in points responsible for (130) and is in the top-25 nationally in completion percentage (.688), passing efficiency (161.5), passing yards (1,855) and passing touchdowns (15).

Daniels started at left tackle in the game, earned his 36th start of his career. He was part of the group protecting for a Utah team that produced 562 yards of total offense, and produced 7.4 yards per play in the contest. This was just the second time this season Utah had over 500 yards of total offense. Â

Daniels and the rest of the O-Line protected the Utes to throw for 424-yards the most this season and did not allow the Trojans to record a sack nor did quarterback Cameron Rising throw an interception. Daniels and the O-Line helped the Utes tally 31 first downs in the game, nine rushing and 18 passing. Daniels and the front opened holes for the Utes to rush for 138-yards and only one negative rush in the game. Daniels opened the hole for the final touchdown of the game and the two-point conversion.
