Head coach Amy Hogue's gives first update on the upcoming 2022 season.
WE'RE BAAAAAAAACK!!!!
Hello everyone! It is time for our first newsletter of the 2022 Utah Softball season!
For those of you that are new to this space, my name is Amy Hogue, aka Coach A. I am the head coach and I write a newsletter 3-4 times a month during our season.
The newsletter is simply an update from me that is a little more "behind the scenes." Sometimes it's silly stories about our travel experiences and other times it's a bit of the inside scoop about the games coming up.
We just wrapped up our last weekend practice and will be having our last two home practices on Monday and Tuesday. We head to the airport for our first trip to Phoenix this Wednesday afternoon. I'm not sure how January flew by that fast, but the season starts on Friday and it's time to go win some games!
My hope is that you can follow our team each week, starting with getting to know everyone on the roster, that is posted online, before we get on the field next weekend.
We have quite a few utility players this year, so look for us to put several different lineups together each and every game. We also have more depth in the circle than we have ever had, so look for us to pitch by committee more than we usually do.
I see so many contributors on this roster and I can't wait for you to see what we've got.
I'll send a short newsletter before we get started next weekend so you know how to watch the games. Several of them will be on tv the very first weekend out, so find a way to get set up with PAC-12 networks and I'll talk to you late next week!
