Coach A's Newsletter: A Weekend Series Against the Wildcats

It's very rare that we get four days of practice in a row during the season. And if we do, it's usually not possible to be outside on our field for all four. Well this week it happened! And it couldn't have come at a better time.
We have a team with a handful of utility players. Because of that, we have some flexibility in our defensive lineups. Practices this week allowed us the opportunity to work on some of those new defensive looks. Plus, the sunshine reminded us of how lucky we are to get to spend the afternoons outside playing the game we all love.
We have a break from Pac-12 play this weekend. Every team gets a BYE from conference play each year. Sometimes that's a good time to take a couple days off. This year our BYE came so early in conference play that we decided to add a couple local games instead of taking it off. So, two games with Weber is what we have planned!
It's been a good week on the field and I'm looking forward to the games with Weber. We play against them on Saturday at home at 3:00pm and then we travel to Ogden to play them again at their place Sunday at 1:00pm.
It's a GREAT WEEKEND to come out and support this team. The sunshine will be out in full force, which is something that we are hoping will fill those stands completely!
When you come, please be sure we HEAR YOU! Be loud, I know this team loves when you get into it! So, cheer as much as you can and as always, don't forget to wear RED!
