SAN FRANCISCO – The Utah men's basketball
2022-23 competition dates were officially finalized on Thursday as the Pac-12 Conference announced its full league slate. TV selections with tip-times will be released at a later date.
Beyond the two early December games, the Runnin' Utes will once again open the full conference slate on the road – this time against the Bay Area teams. Utah got the best of Stanford and California last season – giving then first-year head coach
Craig Smith his first in-conference road sweep.
Utah then comes back to the friendly confines of Jon M. Huntsman Center to host Oregon State (Jan. 5) and Oregon (Jan. 7). The Utes split its home weekend against the Beavers and Ducks last season – beating OSU 84-59.
The Utes make their first swing to the LA schools under the direction of Coach Smith the following week with USC up first on Thursday, Jan. 12, followed by the Bruins of UCLA on Saturday, Jan. 14. Utah will then welcome Washington State on Jan. 19 prior to hosting Washington two days later on Jan. 21.
Utah hits the road afterwards, this time closing out the season slate against Oregon State (Jan. 26) and Oregon (Jan. 28) before heading back to SLC for a three-game homestand. The Runnin' Utes open said homestand with Stanford on Thursday, Feb. 2. The Utes will host their lone Sunday match-up of the season against the Golden Bears on Feb. 5 before welcoming in Colorado for their lone game of the week on Saturday, Feb. 11.
NBA All-Star Week sees both men's and women's program on the road at the Arizona schools with the men taking on Arizona (Feb. 16) followed by Arizona State on Saturday, Feb. 18. The Trojans and Bruins then visit Salt Lake City at the end of February before Utah closes out the regular-season against the Buffs on Saturday, March 4, for senior day.
The Runnin' Utes then head to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Tournament, which will be held at T-Mobile Arena for the sixth-consecutive year from March 8-11.
