SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball program is set to host the Trojans of USC at 6 p.m. (MT) this Saturday, Feb. 25, inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center and will also be honoring its six seniors during pregame.
Dave Feldman and Adrian Branch will once again have the call on ESPNU as the Runnin' Utes look to avoid getting swept by the LA school.
SENIOR CEREMONY
The Runnin' Utes program will honor six individuals ahead of Saturday's game in team manager Harrison Van Dyke and student-athletes
Bostyn Holt,
Jaxon Brenchley,
Marco Anthony,
Eli Ballstaedt and
Branden Carlson. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and help the program honor these six seniors with the ceremony slated to start with 20 minutes left on the pregame clock.
AUTISM SPEAKS
The Utah men's basketball staff joins other programs around the country this week in support of Autism Speaks with custom puzzle piece pins. For more information about Autism Speaks or how you can support their cause, visit

FORD TEDDY BEAR TOSS
Saturday's game against USC will also serve as the annual Ford Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring a new teddy bear or stuffed animal to throw onto the court at halftime. All teddy bears and stuffed animals will be donated to those receiving cancer treatment in the community.
BATTLE AGAINST LA
Since joining the league in 2011-12, Utah has played a home-and-home vs. the LA schools seven times – including this season. Between those seven seasons, the Utes have yet to be swept by the LA schools and have avoided the sweep on three different occasions (2017-18, 2019-20, 2020-21) and look to do so on Saturday when they face USC. In those three previous instances, Utah picked up its lone win against USC twice at home and once against UCLA at home. Meanwhile, the Utes have only been swept by USC twice in the season series (2017-18, 2021-22) since joining the Pac-12.
ICE MIKE
Mike Saunders Jr. took advantage of his opportunity on Thursday and took the next man up mentality to heart, scoring a career-high 25 points off the bench for Utah. The Indianapolis, Ind., product finished the game 10-of-17 from the field, three of which came from downtown, to go with three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah gave #4/3 UCLA a scare late in the game on Thursday after cutting its lead down to just three (62-59) with 5:11 left to go despite being down to starters.
Mike Saunders Jr. gave the Runnin' Utes a spark off the bench, scoring a career-high 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting – including 3-of-6 from long range.
Branden Carlson chipped in with 14 points and three blocks. Meanwhile,
Wilguens Jr. Exacte made his first-career start in the absence of
Rollie Worster, and was just one of two Utes that had a positive impact in the +/- category.
UP NEXT
Utah will close out the regular-season next Saturday, March 4, on the road as it travels to Boulder, Colo., to face the Colorado Buffaloes. Jacob Tobey will have the call on Pac-12 Networks while Eddie House serves as the analyst with tip-off set for 3:30 p.m. (MT).
LOOKING AHEAD
With the Pac-12 standings still tight, Utah will have to wait until the end of next weekend to see where things shake out as it prepares to head to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament (March 8-11) inside T-Mobile Arena.
