ZARAGOZA, Spain – The Utah men's basketball team pulled away late on Saturday in its victory over Alfindén 81-65 at La Puebla de Alfindén behind a game-high 26 points from
Branden Carlson while
Lawson Lovering chipped in for 10 points.

Utah got off to a good start in the first quarter of action taking an early 23-12 through 10 minutes of play – which was highlighted by
Wilguens Jr. Exacte's put-back slam on a miss from the perimeter. The opposition then went on a little run to cut the lead down to single-digits and trailed the Runnin' Utes 41-33 at the break.

The second half started with the home team jumping out to a 15-6 run against Utah to tie things up at 47-47 with 5:07 left in the third frame. However, the Utes responded with a run of their own (16-3) to take a 63-50 advantage heading into the final quarter behind a three-pointer from long range.

Utah held serve in the fourth quarter, answering each basket its opponents would score to secure the victory and move to 2-0 in its foreign tour of Spain.
