SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah baseball team will host Utah Valley in a Fall doubleheader on Saturday, October 12 at Smith's Ballpark. The teams will play two seven-inning exhibition games, with game one beginning at noon.
Â
The doubleheader is open to the public and free of charge, giving fans a chance to take an early look at the 2025 Utes. Parking will be available in the North lot across from the ballpark (enter the lot from Richards Street).
Fans should be advised that concession stands will not be open in the ballpark.
Â
Utah heads toward the 2025 campaign looking to build off a year of incredible strides in 2024. The team improved in virtually every facet from 2023, winning 33 games; the second-most in program history. Head coach
Gary Henderson's club entered the national polls with a top-25 ranking, the first such occasion in any of the five current major polls.
Â
Following the season, three Utes were selected in the 2024 MLB Draft.
Â
The Utes also are gearing up for a new chapter with the transition to the Big 12 Conference. Five current members of the Big 12 reached the 2024 NCAA Tournament. The league has sent at least one team to nine of the last 10 Men's College World Series.
