Utah Wraps up Fall Competition Slate

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah men's tennis team wrapped up the fall competition slate with Berk Bugarikj competing at the ITA Sectionals as well as several Utes playing in the LMU Invite.

Berk Bugarikj defeated Aram Noroozian from New Mexico with scores of 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) in the round of 32 in the ITA Sectionals. He later fell to No. 4 ranked Alex Chang from Cal 6-1, 6-4.

On the first day of the LMU Invite, Utah's Geremia Rossi picked up a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over UCI's Mason Bui.

The second day of the tournament Utah battled with Denver where Emmett Potter defeated Ryoma Mishiro 6-2, 6-4. In doubles play against Denver, Utah's Dylan Applegate and Emmett Potter defeated Mishiro and Samuel Rovai 9-7.

Utah also took on LMU on the second day with Reid Jarvis defeating Sebastian Nothhaft 7-5, 3-6, 6-3. Gianluca Citadini also picked up a singles win defeating Inigo Dias 6-0, 4-6, 6-3. Rossi picked up his second singles win on the weekend by taking down Dariau Tamaddon 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
