SALT LAKE CITY – The 23
rd-ranked Utah Volleyball team celebrated a pair of milestones with a dominating 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-16) sweep over in-state rivals No. 21 BYU. The win over the Cougars marked the 900
th win in program history, taking place in front of a historic crowd and breaking the volleyball attendance record with 5,953 fans. With this win, the Utes defeat BYU for the first time since 2019, along with the first sweep of BYU in Salt Lake City for Utah since 2006. Â

Utah used the energy of the home crowd, taking an early 4-1 lead, and getting a pair of kills from
Kamryn Gibadlo. Utah surged ahead 14-7, as Gibadlo settled in from the service line with two aces and getting kills from
Lauren Jardine and
Emrie Satuala. The Utes kept up the momentum as
Rianne Vos worked her way into the offense and Jardine added a pair of kills to give Utah a 21-13 lead. Utah cruised ahead to close the first set, 25-16.

The Utes could not be slowed down in the second set, jumping ahead 4-1, with help from an
Ella Biggs ace and a Vos kill. Utah maintained its advantage, 14-10, getting kills from
Kamry Bailey,
Allie Olsen and Satuala. Gibadlo eclipsed her season and career-high ace mark, putting down her fifth ace of the match to put the Utes up 19-15. She would go on to add two more in the set, as the Utes dominated the Cougars, 25-15.

Vos helped the Utes off to an early 4-2 lead in the third set, serving up a pair of aces for Utah. The Utes held onto the lead, extending the lead out to 12-8, getting kills from Vos and Bailey. The Utah offense wouldn't lose a step, as Gibadlo tallied two more kills, giving the Utes a 16-12 lead. The Utes extended their lead out to 23-16, before closing out the Cougars with a kill from Gibadlo, 25-16.

STANDOUT STATS
- Kamryn Gibadlo tallied a team-high 15 kills and was the only Ute to finish with double-digit kills. Gibadlo was flawless in her attack, making zero errors on 29 attempts and finishing with a .517 hitting percentage.
- Allie Olsen finished with zero errors, putting away six kills on 11 swings for a .545 hitting percentage.
- Gibadlo finished with seven aces from the service line, posting a new career-high and matching the program record (rally-scoring era) set by Lori Baird set in 2008.
- Allie Olsen and Emrie Satuala led the Utah blocking effort with four block assists each. Olsen tallied one solo block.
- Isabelle Marco (12) and Grace (11) accounted for 23 of Utah's 34 assists.
- Claranne Fechter led the Utah receiving effort with a  team-high 16 digs. Kamry Bailey added 10.
