SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah men's basketball team will look to bounce back from an emotional triple-overtime loss at home to #8/8 Arizona this Saturday when it hosts Arizona State for a 6 p.m. (MT) match-up inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Roxy Bernstein will call the action alongside Corey Williams on ESPN2 as Utah looks to salvage the weekend and avoid getting swept at home by the Arizona schools.
HALFTIME PERFORMANCE
The world-famous Red Panda will grace the Jon M. Huntsman Center this Saturday and perform at halftime once again. This is the second-straight year the acrobatic performer returns to SLC.
FOREVER IN HISTORY
Utah guard
Deivon Smith became the first Runnin' Ute ever to record multiple triple-doubles in a single-season Thursday night when he posted a line of 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. He also just the fourth player this season to record multiple triple-doubles through games on Feb. 8.
- First Pac-12 player since Andre Iguodala to have multiple triple-doubles in a season (3; 2003-04)
- Jason Kidd had 4 in 1993-94
- Sixth player in Pac-12 history to have multiple triple-doubles in their career

OVERTIME NOTES
Thursday's triple overtime loss had a few firsts for the Utes…
- First 3OT or 4OT game played at home or inside the Jon M. Huntsman Center ever
- Utah is now 4-3 in 3OT games – was previously 4-2 on the road
- Utah is now 60-47 (.561) all-time in overtime games and 26-15 (.634) all-time at home in overtime games
- Head coach Craig Smith is now 1-2 in OT games since taking the helm at Utah
LAST TIME OUT
The Utah men's basketball team had an emotional roller coaster Thursday night in its 105-99 triple-overtime loss to #8/8 Arizona at home.
Branden Carlson and
Gabe Madsen fueled Utah's comeback in the second half to outscore the Wildcats 51-35 with the two combining to score 28 points (14 points each) on 10-of-15 shooting – five of which came from 3-point range. The game ultimately came down to free throws, which has been Utah's achillea's heel as of late. The Utes were just 10-for-21 from the line while Arizona went 24-for-32 in the game but more importantly, the Wildcats were 9-of-15 in the OT periods while Utah was just 4-of-6.
Carlson finished with a game-high 27 points on 15 boards, knocking down 11-of-19 from the floor.
Keba Keita filled up the box score with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks while Madsen chipped in with 17 points and five boards on 5-of-10 from 3-point range.
Deivon Smith capped off his night with a late triple-double scoring 14 points to go with 11 boards and 10 assists for his second of the season.
UP NEXT
The Runnin' Utes will get another shot on the road as it travels to Los Angeles for a pair of games against USC (Feb. 15) and UCLA (Feb. 18). Both games in LA for the Utah will air on FS1 with Dan Hellie and Casey Jacobsen on the call. Tip-off against the Trojans is scheduled for 9 p.m. (MT) inside the Galen Center while the Sunday, Feb. 18, meeting inside Pauley Pavilion with the Bruins is slated for 5 p.m. (MT).
LOOKING AHEAD
Utah will wrap up its three-game road swing with Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 24, inside the CU Events Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. (MT) on Pac-12 Networks with Ted Robinson and Conference of Champion legend Bill Walton on the call.
