SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Utah redshirt senior
Bryson Van Sickle headlined the team's Pac-12 postseason awards on Tuesday as the southpaw was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year.
Â
In total, five Utes took home a total of six laurels. Van Sickle's Pitcher of the Year nod earned him a spot on the All-Conference Team, while infielder
Core Jackson, outfielder
Kai Roberts and reliever
Micah Ashman also took home All-Conference. Outfielder
TJ Clarkson was named Pac-12 Honorable Mention to round out the accolades for the Utes.
Â
Van Sickle's Pitcher of the Year honor is the first individual award won by a Utah player in the Pac-12 era, and the first for the program since C.J. Cron was named Mountain West Player of the Year back in 2011. The four All-Conference First Team selections also tie the 2016 Utes for the most in a season since the Pac-12 era (dating back to the 2012 baseball season).
