SALT LAKE CITY – Four members of the 2024 Utah Football team were selected on Tuesday to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Bouwmeester punted in all 12 games and 39 total contests during his three seasons as a Ute. During the 2024 regular season, he led the Big 12 with an average punt of 44.7 yards on the way to earning All-Conference Second Team. He sent 13 punts for 50-plus yards, including a season-long 62-yarder in the win at UCF. The native of Bendigo, Australia, graduated with his undergraduate degree in communication before working on a Master's in information systems.
Originally from Idaho Falls, Idaho, Johnson has played in 30 career games with 23 starts over his three years at Utah. He appeared in all 12 games this past year, starting 11 at safety. His 70 tackles (2.0 TFL) were the most in the secondary and ranked second on the team. Johnson also defended five passes (1 INT, 4 PBU), forced a fumble, blocked a field goal and returned another blocked field goal for a touchdown. The communication major has spent the last two seasons on defense after playing wide receiver as a true freshman.
A business major from Gilbert, Arizona, Lomu has played in 15 games as a Ute, starting all 12 games at left tackle in 2024. Lomu's performance earned him praise from The Athletic as a Midseason Freshman All-American, as well as a spot on the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Watch List. He and the rest of the offensive line—long known as the O-Block for their physicality—paved the way for a 1,000-yard rusher during the 2024 season in running back Micah Bernard.
Reynolds returned to the team this season following a church mission and played in all 12 games, both on defense and special teams. He contributed 13 tackles on the season, making a career-best four stops in the Utes' win over Utah State. Reynolds is a business major from Queen Creek, Arizona.
