Trophy presented annually to the most outstanding center in college football
SALT LAKE CITY — Utah redshirt senior offensive lineman Jaren Kump has been named to the Rimington Trophy Watchlist, the Boomer Esiason Foundation announced on Friday.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the most outstanding center in college football.
Â
Kump has 47 career games played with 29 starts (7 at RT, 17 at C, 3 at LT, 1 at RG, 1 at LG). He started all 12 games at center in 2024 and was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team. Â

The Riverton native is one of five returning starters on the offensive line for the Utes in 2025 and will be blocking for Doak Walker Award candidate Wayshawn Parker and Davey O'Brien Award candidate Devon Dampier. Fellow offensive linemen Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu were both named to the Outland Trophy Watchlist on July 29.

The Rimington Trophy Committee uses the Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News and Football Writers Association of America All-America teams to determine the award winner. The center with the most first team votes will be determined the winner. If there is a tie with first team votes, then the center with the most second team votes will win. If there is still a tie, the winner will be determined by a majority vote from the Rimington Trophy Committee, provided with data from Pro Football Focus.
