Utes Win 6-1 Sunday Against Northern Arizona

SALT LAKE CITY— The University of Utah men's tennis team picked up its second win of the season with a 6-1 victory over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks Sunday afternoon.
DOUBLES
The Utes started the match strong by taking the doubles point. Newcomer Balthazar Huss and captain Dante Teramo dominated the match to pick up a 6-0 win over Northern Arizona's Jakub Jedrzejczak and Jakub Volesky on the No. 1 court.
AJ Deem and Lorenzo Esquici were not far behind, picking up a 6-3 win against Daniels Tens and Felix Neumeister to win the match at the No. 3 court.
As the Utes clinched doubles points, Emmett Potter and Charles Frey remained unfinished at the No 2 spot.
SINGLES
In singles action, Frey picked up the first singles point of the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Tens in the No. 6 spot. Simeon Terziev was not far behind as he picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win over NAU's Volesky at the No. 3 court.
At the No. 4 spot, Huss won 6-2, 7-5 over the Lumberjacks's Katsoda to clinch the Utes' home opener win.
The rest of the matches played on, where Teramo picked up a 7-5, 6-2 over Lumberjacks's Jedrzejczak in the No. 1 spot.
Deem beat NAU's Neumeister 6-2, 6-4 on the No. 5 court.
The Utes are now 2-2 on the season.
UP NEXT
The Utes will head on the road to Colorado to face Denver on Feb. 6 and Montana on Feb 7. Utah will then travel to California to play San Diego State on Valentine's Day Feb. 14.
