IRVING, Texas – Sergio Jimenez has earned a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team after piecing together a strong junior campaign that included a
third-place finish in the conference golf tournament and
tying a league record during the third round of championship play.
Jimenez is the second Ute golfer to be recognized by the Big 12, joining fellow junior
Gabriel Palacios, who earned the postseason award last year.
The Spanish golfer currently ranks 63
rd in the country according to the latest Scoreboard rankings with two top three finishes on the year and a 69.1 scoring average.
