Sergio Jimenez Earns Spot on All-Big 12 First Team

Utah golfer receives the recognition after a third-place finish in conference tournament
IRVING, Texas – Sergio Jimenez has earned a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team after piecing together a strong junior campaign that included a third-place finish in the conference golf tournament and tying a league record during the third round of championship play.
Jimenez is the second Ute golfer to be recognized by the Big 12, joining fellow junior Gabriel Palacios, who earned the postseason award last year.
The Spanish golfer currently ranks 63rd in the country according to the latest Scoreboard rankings with two top three finishes on the year and a 69.1 scoring average.

Utah Golf heads to Columbus, Ohio for regional play from May 18-20 in hopes of qualifying for a spot in the championship finals from May 29-June 3 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
