2022 – Graduate Student
- ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I Gold Glove Team (1B)
- Pac-12 All-Defensive Team
- Came home for his final season of collegiate baseball, starting all 54 games (53 at first base).
- Became the first Ute to take home Gold Glove laurels after being charged just one error on 505 chances. Went error-free in Pac-12 play on 271 chances, fourth-most in the league.
- Helped the Utes tally 14 pickoffs on the season.
- Hit .278 on the year with a team-leading 17 doubles, the most by a Ute since 2019.
- Also contributed three triples, four homers and a team-best 41 RBI.
- Hit safely in eight straight games from April 14-26, including series wins over No. 20 Arizona and USC.
- Season-best four hits and four RBI came in the road win at UNLV (March 1).
- Was a double short of the cycle, drove in three runs and scored twice vs. Mercer (March 26).
- Batted 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI in the rubber game vs. No. 20 Arizona (April 16).
Prior to Utah
- Lettered at Hawai’i from 2017-21, redshirting in ’17.
- 2021 ABCA Gold Glove nominee (1B)
- 2019 All-Big West Honorable Mention (1B)
- .268 career hitter with Hawai’i (131 games), tallying 23 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 68 RBI. Also scored 65 runs.
- Set single-game school record with four walks at Arizona State (Feb. 27, 2021).
- Hit over .260 in his three full seasons, including a career-best .278 average in 2019.
Prior to College
- Graduated from Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah, where Baeza split time between first base and pitcher, while also playing basketball.
- Utah 5A All-State Second Team as a junior and senior.
- As a senior, batted .325 with five doubles, 16 RBI and 16 runs scored, notching a .448 on-base percentage.
- Registered a 3.15 ERA and 4-2 record in 10 senior appearances, striking out 40 in 46.2 innings.
- During his junior season, went 6-2 with a 2.10 ERA.
- Pitched 60 innings through 11 appearances, collecting 44 strikeouts and a .196 opposing average.
- Also batted .341 in 27 games as a junior, registering six doubles, three triples and a home run, bringing in 22 RBI with 12 runs.
