2016: Played in 36 games, 24 as a pitcher with a three starts … led the Pac-12 with her 21 relief appearances … had her first collegiate win in her initial start, shutting out Portland State over four innings and tossing four strikeouts … threw a personal best 5 1/3 innings at USF … shut out Florida Gulf Coast over four innings with four strikeouts to earn the win and also had her first multi-hit game … picked up the victory in three innings of shutout action vs. Boise State … also earned relief victories over New Mexico State, Southern Utah and Weber State … at the plate, hit her first collegiate homer, a three-run shot to lead the Utes past No. 24 Oregon State … went 4-for-9 in three games against No. 9 Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament, including a run-scoring double … had her first multi-RBI game in a win over Purdue
Prior to Utah: In her time first three seasons at Canyon High School under head coach Dan Hay, Hailey collected 53 wins inside the circle with a career earned run average of 1.67. She tallied 428 strikeouts in 510 innings of work and opposing players are hit just .202 off her.
Offensively, Hailey had a career .241 batting average with 51 hits (11 doubles, a triple and eight home runs) to go along with 13 runs scored and 34 runs batted in. A two-time all-county selection and three-time All-Century league honoree, Hailey was a second team all-state selection following her junior season after helping guide her team to the semifinal game in the Division I CIF playoffs.
Personal: Hailey is the daughter of Todd and Kimberly Hilburn and she has one sister, Holly. Hailey plans on majoring in business administration while attending Utah.
