2017: Pac-12 All-Freshman Team … Named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week following her performance vs. No. 1 Arizona where she batted .500, slugged .625 and had the highest on-base percentage on the team (.556) … started all 53 contests as the Utah backstop … had a multi-homer game and drove in five runs during a win over No. 21 California … homered, had her first career double and singled while driving in five during a victory over Toledo … homered, scored twice and drove in three during a NCAA Super Regional contest at No. 6 Washington … followed that with a homer, single and two more driven in vs. the Huskies … also had a pair of hits and runs driven in during a victory over Stanford … had a three-hit game in a win over Indiana … homered and drove in a pair during the NCAA Regional Final vs. No. 21 BYU … also drove in a pair vs CSU Bakersfield … had a pair of hits in games vs. No. 7 LSU, No. 8 Washington and Long Beach State … scored a pair of runs in a win over No. 10 UCLA

Prior to Utah: Last season, Martinez was named All-State, All -CIF and All-League for a third season in a row. She batted .595 en route to winning her league's most valuable player award. Martinez and fellow recruit Alyssa Barrera were teammates on the 2014 U-16 Premier Girls Fastpitch champions, Firecrackers Brashear

Personal: Kelly is the daughter of Daniel and Denise Martinez. She has one sibling, Cory and plans to major in special education or forensics.
