Men's Golf Takes 18th at Aldila Collegiate Classic

SANTEE, Calif. - The University of Utah golf team finished in 18th place at the two-day Aldila Collegiate Classic hosted by San Diego State University. Among a field of 20, Utah was in 15th place after two rounds on Monday, but then slipped to 18th during the final round on Tuesday. Junior Gregg Oliphant and sophomore Shawn Edwards produced the top individual scores for Utah, finishing 49th and 54th respectively. Oliphant shot a 231 finishing at 15 over par, Edwards was one stroke behind shooting 232. Utah returns to action March 29-39 when the they travel to Irvine, Calif. for the Anteater Invitational.
