Men's Tennis Posts Impressive Preseason

SALT LAKE CITY - In preseason tournaments, Utah's men's tennis team turned in impressive performances. Seniors Ben Coates and Philippe Rodrigue won two tournament doubles titles and have cracked into the national rankings. The ITA has ranked them tied for No. 13 nationally and No. 1 in the mountain region.

Coates has also appeared in the singles ranking, climbing to No. 86 nationally and No. 4 in the region. As a team, the Utes rank No. 8 in the mountain region. Utah's season will commence on Jan. 23 when they take on Montana St. at the Eccles Tennis Center in Salt Lake City.
