ST. GEORGE, Utah - The University of Utah's golf team placed third at the Utah Collegiate Challenge led by senior Jon Morgan. Morgan shot a two-day total of 147, three-over-par, to finish second overall.
Brock Padilla finished in sixth place shooting five over. Lance Richards shot nine-over-par to place 14th followed by Gregg Oliphant shooting 11-over-par to place 19th. Chris Riding finished at 12-over to place 21st. Other Utes that participated include Shawn Edwards (40th) and Clint Christiansen (56th) .
This tournament marks the end of Utah's fall golf season. Utah's next tournament is the John Burns Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, Feb.17-19.
