SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team will host Idaho State Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center. The Utes, who are 1-2 in dual matches, will take on the 2-0 Bengals.
LAST WEEK: The Utes lost two-straight matches when they took to the road to face Arizona and Arizona State Feb. 5-6. In the match against Arizona, Utah lost each of their singles matches and won all of the doubles matches, being defeated 6-1. The Utes came away victorious in two singles matches against Arizona State. Corrie Scheepers and Tyler Poulson won their matches from the bottom of the lineup and proceeded to win their doubles match.
THE UTES: Utah posts a 1-2 dual record after their latest road swing. Nicholas Yip and Kevin Zenger, who were ranked No. 37 in doubles, fell from the rankings after being defeated by Mitchell Bowen and Matt Klinger of ASU.
COMING UP: The match against Idaho State will be the first of five consecutive home matches for the Utes. They will host Weber State, Idaho, Boise State and Montana State in the next couple of weeks. Utah will begin conference matches on Mar. 12, at San Diego.
