SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - THIS WEEK: The University of Utah men's tennis team will play host to three non-conference matches this week. The 2-2 Utes will first host in-state rival Weber State on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 6:00 p.m. The Wildcats are currently sporting a 1-3 dual record. They are led by Tim Rowse (8-5 overall, 2-2 dual) who is expected to play the No. 1 position The Utes will then host Idaho on Feb. 23 at 5:00 p.m. The Vandals are a modest 1-5 in dual matches this season. On Saturday, Feb. 24, the Utes will close out the week against 44th-ranked Boise State at 4:00 p.m.
LAST WEEK: The Utes dominated Idaho State 7-0 at the Eccles Tennis Center. The Utes were victorious in each of their singles and doubles matches.
COMING UP: On Mar. 2, the Utes will host Montana State. They will then take to the road for 11 consecutive road matches, including conference matches which will begin on Mar. 22. The Utes will not have a home match until Apr. 10.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The doubles tandem of Nicholas Yip and Kevin Zenger fell from the doubles rankings after losing at Arizona State. The duo, who had climbed as high as 37th in the national rankings are looking to break back into the rankings. Against Idaho State, they defeated Malcolm Swan and Bestian Stoika, 8-5.
