SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - The University of Utah men's tennis team pulled off a sweep against Weber State on Wednesday, winning each of its' singles and doubles matches to defeat the Wildcats 7-0. The Utes, who currently boast a 3-2 dual record, won their third consecutive home match.
Utah continued its doubles success by sweeping the doubles matches. The Utes post a 13-2 doubles record in dual play this season. The tandem of Tyler Poulson and Corrie Scheepers remained unbeaten with a 5-0 doubles record this season. Nicholas Yip and Kevin Zenger improve to 10-3 overall (4-1 dual), while David Mercier and Daniel Carlsson boost their record to 4-1.
The Utes will play host to Idaho on Friday at 5:00 p.m., while Saturday, they will host 44th-ranked Boise State at 4:00 p.m.
