THIS WEEK: The University of Utah men's tennis squad will host the Montana State Bobcats on Friday, Mar. 2. The Utes, who are 5-2 on the season, are undefeated at home and hoping to continue their success. As a team, Utah is 18-3 in dual doubles play this season. The duo of Corrie Scheepers and Tyler Poulson are undefeated at 7-0, playing from the No. 3 position for the Utes.
LAST WEEK: The Utes were 3-0 last week, defeating Weber State, 7-0, Idaho, 6-1, and Boise State, 4-3. Utah swept Weber and dropped only one singles match to Idaho. On Saturday, Utah defeated 44th-ranked Boise State University in a 4-3, down-to-the-wire struggle. Utah won two of three doubles matches to win the doubles point, and won three of the singles matches to come out ahead of the Broncos.
COMING UP: The Utes will begin a string of 11-consecutive road matches on Mar. 9 when they travel to play Pepperdine. They will continue the road trip by playing San Diego and Southern California on Mar. 12 and 13. Utah will begin conference play Mar. 22 at BYU.
