THIS WEEK: The University of Utah men's tennis team closes out the regular season this week at the Salt Lake Tennis Club. The Utes host the University of Northern Colorado on Friday, Apr. 15 at 1:00 p.m.
REVIEWING LAST WEEK: No. 63 Utah matched up against three Mountain West opponents last weekend in Provo, Utah. The men's tennis team earned its first conference victory by defeating No. 68 Air Force (4-3).
The Utes also suffered a couple of close losses to in-state rival and No. 55 ranked BYU (4-3) and No. 59 New Mexico (4-3).
Utah wrapped up the conference season with a 1-4 mark.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Northern Colorado has suffered a winless season. The Bears are 0-16 and 0-0 in the Big Sky Conference. This weekend, the men's tennis team concludes its season with matches against Utah, Utah St. and Weber St.
QUOTING ASSISTANT COACH Graeme Cox: "Our match with No. Colorado this week provides us with the last opportunity to tune up for the MWC tournament in San Diego. With a little bit of luck, we will play well and get some confidence as we head into our biggest event of the year."
