SALT LAKE CITY - Chris Grant, Chris Jackson and Jonas Langvad of the University of Utah men's basketball team have been named to the 2005 spring semester Academic All-Mountain West team.
To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
Grant, a freshman guard from Salt Lake City, has a 3.50 GPA with an undeclared major. Jackson, a junior center from Los Alamos, N.M., has a 3.68 GPA in chemical fuels in engineering. Langvad, a sophomore forward from Skovlunde, Denmark, has a 3.00 GPA in business.
