THIS WEEK:
The Utes tee off their spring season when they travel to St. George, Utah to compete in the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational Feb. 13-14 at the Sunbrook Golf Course. The tournament will consist of 36 holes being played on two nine-hole championships course.
Utah will compete against 12 other schools that include: Southern Utah, Air Force, Boise State, Denver, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Idaho State, San Francisco, Utah State, Utah Valley State, Washington State and Weber State.
UTE NOTES:
-Utah is currently ranked 83rd by Golfstat, Inc. and 97th by Golfweek. -Utah finished in the top-10 in three of the five fall tournaments. -The Utes have finished below par in two of the five fall tournaments. -Sophomore Dustin Pimm is currently ranked 68th by Golfweek. -Pimm is 26th in the Golfstat Cup standings (given to the golfer with the lowest yearly average). -Pimm is second in the MWC with a 70.27 stroke average. -Sophomore Chris Gresh is tenth in the conference with a 72.87 average.
