- Utah sophomore forward Jessica Perry and senior forward Kim Smith combined to score the team's first 12 points of the game. Perry ended the game with a career-high tying 13 points.
- Air Force sophomore center Ellen Jaeschke had a direct hand in the Academy's first 12 points, scoring 10 and getting the assist on Alecia Steele's basket. At the 5:37 mark of the second half, Jaeschke notched her career-high with her 14th point and ended the game with 20.
- Jaeschke became just the second Air Force student-athlete this season to score 20 or more points in a contest, and the first besides junior guard Letricia Castillo. Her (20) points is a new Air Force record for a MWC Tournament game, breaking the previous record of 15 by Shawna Neff in 2001 vs. Utah.
- Utah freshman guard Sasha McKinnon shattered her career-high in scoring, connecting on all three of her three-point attempts for nine points. Her previous career-high was two points against New Mexico on Feb. 4.
- Air Force went on an 8-0 run to close within two, 20-18 in the first half, holding Utah scoreless for 6:29. Utah answered with an 8-0 run of its own to take the 28-18 half-time lead.
- Utah's 23 assists ties a Mountain West Tournament record, tying the 23 by BYU from the 2002 contest against Wyoming in the quarterfinals. The Utes 11 steals also ties for fifth most in a tournament game and the seven blocked shots ties for the second most in a tournament game (7, New Mexico vs San Diego State, 3/7/01).
- Air Force went a perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line, setting the new MWC Tournament single game record (minimum 10 attempts). They break the previous record of .950 (19-20) from UNLV vs. Colorado State in the semifinals in 2002.
- Smith tallied a double-double in points and rebounds in the first half, notching 13 points and 10 rebounds for her seventh double double of the year and 31st of her career. She has also scored 20 or more points 16 times this year and the 39th time of her career. Smith's 29 points ties for the fourth-most in a MWC Tournament single game (29, Ashley Elliott, Wyoming vs Colorado State, 3/10/04) and her 12 field goals is a new MWC Tournament record, breaking the previous record of 11, held by three players.
- Smith also tallied 13 rebounds in the contest, tying for the sixth most in a MWC Tournament game, tying three other players.
- Utah senior guard Shona Thorburn became the first player in Mountain West Tournament history to record double figures in assists, notching 11. She breaks the previous record of nine by Tiana Fuertes of BYU from 2000 and Thorburn in 2005.
