SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team has announced the fall and spring schedule for the 2006-07 season.
The preseason tournaments will begin with the University of Utah Intercollegiate Tournament on October 5, 2006. The event will be hosted by the Utes at the Sports Mall in Salt Lake City. Teams participating include the No. 61 Utah Utes, No. 27 Boise State Broncos, Utah State Aggies, Weber State Wildcats, and Montana State Bobcats.
The spring season dual matches will begin with the home opener against in-state rival Utah State. When the two teams last battled in January of 2006, the Utes walked away victorious with a 7-0 sweep over the Aggies.
Other highlighted teams include Mountain West Conference rivals No. 31 TCU, No. 49 SDSU, No. 64 UNLV, No. 75 BYU, and the University of New Mexico. The Utes will also face No. 51 Pennsylvania in March of 2007.
