Upcoming Event: Track & Field versus Weber State Indoor Invitational on January 9, 2026

Senior Amanda Feigt got the University of Utah Track & Field team to a nice start as she placed fifth in the 400m hurdles and had an NCAA qualifying mark with a time of 60.60. Feigt also was two cm. away from hitting another NCAA qualifying mark in the long jump with a distance of 19-07.5. The distance runners ran well Sophomore Chelsea Shapard had the best 400m hurdle race of her life as she placed 12th with a time of 61.68.
"This was our first outdoor meet this season and we did very well and I'm proud of the athletes as they showed great effort this weekend," says coach Kyle Kepler. "The athletes have been practicing hard with intense workouts, and I believe their meet performances will improve significantly as the weather and experience progresses."
At the BYU Invitational senior Susan Atwater won the pole vault event with a height of 11.97 ft. and sophomore Kellie Anderson ran a very nice race as she placed second in the 5000m run with a time of 18:43.77.
Kepler ends with, "We are looking forward to next weekends meet at Weber State which will be a great meet with tough competitors."
The Utes will return next week with in Ogden, Utah for the Wildcat Invitational on April 7th.
