The University of Utah Track & Field team ended their season with solid performances from their two seniors Amanda Feigt in the long jump and Susan Atwater in the pole vault.
Feigt placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 19-00.50; which was not enough to go to the NCAA championships. However the winner of the long jump was Stanford's Erica McLain who jumped a distance of 20-05.75.
Atwater cleared the opening mark of 11-10.50 in the pole vault and was unable to get past that mark. However her first jump was enough to give her ninth place but not enough to go to the NCAA Championships. The winner of the pole vault was Idaho's Melinda Owen who had a jump of 13-08.25.
"The meet was very disappointing for the seniors, but I am very proud of both Amanda and Susan." says head coach Kyle Kepler. "They both have worked very hard this season and I am looking forward to seeing them in the outdoor season."
The Utes will return March 30-31 as they open their outdoor season with the BYU Invitational in Provo, Utah and the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif.
