INSIDE THE HUDDLE
Preseason all-conference offensive lineman Jason Boone was the only starter lost for the season during camp. Boone, a senior slated to start for the third straight year, tore his ACL in a non-conference drill on Aug. 9 ... Expected to return to action this week are starting linebacker Kyle Brady (knee), starting offensive guard Robert Conley (concussion) and backup guard Zane Taylor (concussion) ... Running back Matt Asiata (foot) began light running on Friday and expects to gradually return to action this week ... Zane Beadles and Corey Seiuli have switched places in a move designed to best fill the vacancy caused by Boone's injury. Beadles was scheduled to start at left guard as he did last year, but moved to left tackle last week. Seiuli, who tried out at left tackle, moves back to his natural position at guard ... Utah will run through a "mock" game in the last hour of practice on Aug. 20. It will consist of a dry run of what happens on a game day, including operating the headsets, getting units on and off the field, etc.
NEWS AND NOTES
Utah has broken its school season ticket record by selling 24,400 tickets as of Aug. 17. The previous mark of 24,250 was set a year ago. In the last four years, Utah's season ticket base has increased by 8,000. Season and individual game tickets are still available at Utahutes.com, the Rice-Eccles Stadium box office and by calling 801-581-UTIX ... The eighth-annual Crimson Club Fan Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Parking and admission are free to the public.
