> Utah (1-3, 0-2 MWC) hosts Utah State (0-4, 0-1 WAC) in Homecoming, this Saturday at 1 p.m. MT in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Tickets to the game are available at utahutes.com, the Rice-Eccles Stadium box office and by calling 801-581-UTIX. The game will be televised on the Mtn.
> The Utah-Utah State rivalry is the 12th longest in the nation. The two schools have played 106 times since 1892. Utah has a nine-game win streak going against the Aggies, whose last win was back in 1997 in Salt Lake City. For more details on the series, see page 2.
> Utah is 52-30-4 all-time in Homecoming games and 5-0 against Utah State. The last time they played each other for Homecoming was in 1999, when Utah won 38-18. Utah hopes to snap a two-game Homecoming losing streak (San Diego State in 2005, Boise State in 2006) this Saturday.
> Utah is 1-1 in non-conference games this season, losing to Oregon State (24-7) and beating No. 11 UCLA (44-6). The Utes are 1-1 in Rice-Eccles Stadium, with a win over UCLA and a 20-12 loss to Air Force.
> The Utes lost their seventh starter of the year - and maybe more - to injury against UNLV, although one (quarterback Brian Johnson) returned to action. Free safety Robert Johnson suffered a first-half shoulder injury and is expected to miss three weeks. Other starters injured against UNLV were Stevenson Sylvestor (hand), Koa Misi (finger) and Joe Jiannoni (ankle). Misi and Jiannoni are doubtful for this Saturday. See Starting Over for more details.
FAST STATS
