SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team is set to play Montana State University-Bozeman on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at home at Eccles Tennis Center.
THE UTES
The Utes are currently tied with a 5-5 record this season.
The Utes are led at the top spot in both singles and doubles by senior Zach Ganger (15-6). The Ute teams up with Miron Mann in doubles play.
In Utah's last meeting with the Grizzlies, the Utes shut them down 6-1.
LAST WEEK
The Utes battled through two road matches. The team first played New Mexico State where they earned the doubles point, but couldn't hold onto the rest of the match. NMSU swept singles play to win the match 6-1.
The teams looked to rebound the following day against Sacramento State, which they did. Due to weather the teams did not play for the doubles point; however, the Utes came to play during singles. Utah took the win 4-2 over Sacramento State to tie up their season at 5-5.
MONTANA STATE GRIZZLIES
The Grizzlies also have a tied up season with a 4-4 record, but have had a week off to refresh their skills.
MSU [Bozeman] was last seen against Montana State-Billings on Feb. 24, 2008. The Grizzlies swept the match 7-0 over their in state rivals.
Kyle McDonald (10-5) leads the Grizzlies at the top spots in singles and doubles play.
