This Friday's Utah football scrimmage will start a few minutes earlier than previously announced. The Utes are now scheduled to begin scrimmaging at 6:30 p.m. on April 3 in Rice-Eccles Stadium.
In other breaking news, the Ute offensive line depth chart has seen a number of changes from that released just yesterday. According to new offensive coordinator Dave Schramm, "no permanent decisions have been made, but we are looking at some new combinations to try and get the best players on the field."
Zane Taylor, an honorable mention all-conference center in 2008, replaces injured Neli A'asa at right guard. A'asa is out indefinitely with a knee injury. Taking over at center is redshirt freshman Tevita Stevens.
The majority of the changes involve backups. Tyler Williams returns to the two deep at center after briefly backing up at left guard. Walter Watts began the spring as the second-string right guard, tried out at left tackle last week, and now finds himself at left guard behind starter Caleb Schlauderaff. The newest backup to starting right tackle Tony Bergstrom is Louis Finner, who replaces Viliamu Nau.
