SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team (4-7) is set to host No. 36-ranked Nebraska (8-3) Sunday, March 14 at the Eccles Tennis Center beginning at 11:00 a.m.
The Utes are looking to snap a losing streak and capture a win on their home court since their victory over in-state rival Weber State Feb. 19.
This year the Huskers have seen wins over three ranked opponents, No. 66 Illinois State, No. 64 Western Michigan and No. 35 Arizona. Nebraska's three losses have been against ranked opponents, No. 32 Denver, No. 46 Minnesota and No. 37 Wisconsin. The Huskers will travel to Provo, Utah to face Oregon Friday and No. 23 BYU Saturday before heading to Salt Lake to see the Utes on Sunday.
In their last action Utah traveled to California to see No. 10 Cal Berkeley and No. 9 Stanford. Due to inclement weather some of the matches on both days went unfinished or were not played. The Utes were defeated by Cal, 6-1, and Stanford, 4-0.
