FAIRFAX, Calif. - The University of Utah men's golf team completed the first day of the Allister MacKenzie Invitational Monday at the Meadow Club. The Utes rounded up a mark of 574 (290-284), to put them at six-over-par and in 16th place. Junior Joe Webber led the Utes in individual standings, tying for 26th with a score of 140 (69-71).
Freshman Jack Maerki swung a mark of 142 (69-73) to tie for 38th, while fellow freshman Brandon Kida tied for 62nd with his score of 146 (77-69). Sophomore Daniel Engle earned a 76th-place finish after posting a score of 150 (75-75). Freshman Gentry Hicks swung a score of 152 (81-71) to tie for 77th.
The Utes return to the Meadow Club Tuesday at 7:45 a.m., for the final 18 holes of the MacKenzie Invitational. Live stats are available at golfstat.com
