SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah golf team is slated to participate in the 43rd annual Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational Sunday and Monday. The tournament will be played on the 7,363- yard, par-72 Blue Course at the Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Format
Players will tee off the first of two rounds with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday, followed by a final round played on Monday at 7:30 am.
Last Time Out
The Utes finished the 2010-11 Falcon Invitational with a score of 923 (308-309-306) to take 17th place. Then-seniors Derek Adams and Jeff Kitches led the Utes with marks of 225 (72-79-74) and 227 (75-776-76), respectively.
Week in Review
Utah took 14th in its first tournament of the 2011-12 season, the Mark Simpson Invitational, last Monday and Tuesday in Erie, Colo. The squad posted a mark of 903 (302-297-204) while freshman Daniel Engle led the way with a score of 227 (75-72-80) to tie for 60th.
