SPRING CAMP WEEK 2
Practices No. 4, 5 and 6 will be held on Tuesday (3-5 p.m.), Thursday (3-5 p.m.) and Saturday (10 a.m.-noon) of this week. Media may attend the entire practice and televisions may shoot the last 20 minutes. Outdoor practices are open to the public.ULTIMATE SPRING TAILGATE
Registration is open for the Ultimate Tailgate Championship that will precede the annual Red-White Spring Football Game on Saturday, Apr. 20. This year's prize categories are the Best Tailgate Spread/Utah Spirit (Ultimate Tailgate Champion) and best Tailgate Appetizer (Ultimate Food Champion). You must indicate your participation in the food competition when registering. The winners of the two competitions will be recognized on the field at halftime of the game. Register Online.CAMP NOTES
More elements will be added to the offense this week ... The coaches will get a look at the players in some live situations with tackle practices scheduled for Tuesday and Saturday ... Junior Quinton Pedroza has moved ahead of Anthony Denham at one of the receiver positions. Pedroza joins starters Dres Anderson and Kenneth Scott on this week's depth chart ... A battle is shaping up for the placekicking job, where redshirt freshman Jamie Sutcliffe and sophomore Andy Phillips are listed as co-starters this week. Neither has ever played in a college game ... Utah must also replace starters at both cornerback positions, where Keith McGill and Justin Thomas stood out last week in practice.SCRIMMAGES/SPRING GAME
The Utes will hold scrimmages on Friday, April 5 (4 p.m.) and Saturday, April 13 (10 a.m.). The Red-White Spring Game is Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m. Scrimmages and the Red-White Spring Game will be held in Rice-Eccles Stadium.
