SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah golf team is slated for the 25th annual Duck Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Emerald Valley Golf Course in Creswell, Ore. Live scoring of the tournament will be available at golfstat.com.
Course
The Duck Invitational will be held on the par-72, 7,165-yard Emerald Valley Golf Course.
Format
Play will begin Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start for the first and second rounds. The third and final round will also begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
The Field
The field is comprised of 16 school and 88 players. The Utes will be competing against several Pac-12 Conference opponents, including host Oregon, Colorado, and Oregon State, as well as Air Force, Boise State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, Minnesota, Nevada, Pacific, San Jose State, Santa Clara, St. Mary's and Wyoming.
Last Time at the Duck Invitational
Utah finished 12th at the tournament after shooting a final round of 13-over-par 301, putting them at 902 overall (302-299-301). Casey Halliday finished out as the low Ute after posting an even-par 72 during the final around to tie for 48th with a score of 225 (77-76-72). The Utes finished ahead of Pac-12 foe Arizona, besting the `Cats by two strokes.
Last Time Out
The Utes last appeared at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic at the San Diego Country Club, where they placed 9th with a mark of 904 (311-297-296). Senior Ben Bankhead and sophomore Jonathon Thomas both finished in the top 30 of the lineup with seven-over-par 223s.
