SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Utah's Slim Hamza was named to the second team as the Pac-12 Conference announced its postseason men's tennis all-conference teams.
The junior from Kairouan, Tunisia becomes the first Ute to win all-conference singles honors three years in a row since Zach Ganger (2005-08, Mountain West Conference). Ganger was also the last Ute to win postseason honors all four years.
Hamza was named the Pac-12 Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week back on April 8 after leading Utah to wins over 27th-ranked Oregon and Washington. He also recorded one of the biggest wins in program history when he defeated seventh-ranked Raymond Sarmiento of USC.
As a freshman, Hamza was named second team All-Pac 12 while also being named Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rookie of the Year. Last year, he received honorable mention status after going 22-11 from the No. 2 singles position.
