With the second week of the NFL season in the books, here are some Week 2 highlights and statistics from former Utah football players.

Minnesota Vikings' fullback Matt Asiata caught a pass out in the flat from Matt Cassel and streaked down the sideline 25 yards for his first career touchdown catch and the game's first score of Minnesota's loss to New England. He ended with five receptions for 48 yards (9.6 ypc) and also rushed for 36 yards.

Ravens' wide receiver Steve Smith led Baltimore for the second straight week with 71 receiving yards on six receptions (11.8 avg.), including a 23-yarder in a 26-16 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Smith is sixth in the NFL through two weeks with 189 receiving yards on 13 catches (14.5 ypc).
Cleveland Browns' defensive linebacker Paul Kruger sacked Drew Brees and had three tackles with a pass breakup in a 26-24 win over New Orleans. Kruger is tied for seventh with 2.0 sacks through two games this season.
San Diego Chargers' defensive back Eric Weddle helped San Diego claim a 30-21 home win over the reigning Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks, with four tackles.
Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith completed 26 passes for 255 yards, but Kansas City's comeback attempt fell short in a 24-17 loss at Denver.
Falcons' defensive tackle Paul Soliai picked up two tackles for loss and six total tackles during Atlanta's 24-10 loss at Cincinnati.
New England Patriots' defensive lineman Sealver Siliga had three tackles during the Patriots' 30-7 win at Minnesota.
Kansas City Chiefs' defensive back Sean Smith was credited with three tackles during Kansas City's 24-17 loss at Denver.
Derrick Shelby, Miami Dolphins' defensive end, had three tackles during a 24-17 loss at Denver.
Star Lotulelei turned up two tackles as part of a stout Carolina Panthers' defensive line that limited Detroit to 70 rushing yards on the way to a 24-7 win over the Lions.
New York Jets' linebacker Trevor Reilly recorded his first career tackle during a 31-24 loss at Green Bay.
