TAYLOR SINKS WINNING SHOT AGAINST OWLS
Senior Brandon Taylor would have been the first player to tell you that he was in a funk, shooting less than 30 percent from both the field and the three-point arc, but that didn't stop him from putting up a pressure shot against the Owls this past Sunday.
In a game that was tied 68-68, Taylor ran the shot clock all the way down to one second while dribbling to the right side of the basket and then stroked a jumper from the corner to give the Utes a 70-68 lead with just 27 seconds left to play.
The shot would go down as the game winner after Temple failed to convert down the stretch.
After the game, Tayler said of his game winner: "I was just confident. It felt good going in. I was relaxed more than anything, especially at a time like that. Me being relaxed helped me a lot. I wasn't stressed, not at all."
