THANK YOU SLIM
Senior and team captain Slim Hamza announced his retirement from the Utah men's tennis program Monday. Hamza, who has been one of the most important players in Utah men's tennis history and spearheaded the Ute's transition into the Pac-12 Conference, has been battling a back injury throughout his career. The Tunisia, Africa native has been a second-team All-Conference selection for three consecutive years, as well as an All-Academic honorable mention his junior year. He is a two-time Pac-12 Player of the Week and has netted countless notable victories during his career as a Ute, including Utah's most historic upset as of recent when he defeated USC's seventh-ranked Ray Sarmiento at the top singles spot, 6-0, 6-2, in 2014.
