> Utah's No. 11 ranking this week in both the AP and Coaches' polls is its best of the season.
> Utah was ranked No. 15 in last week's College Football Playoff (CFP) rankings. The new CFP rankings will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Since the CFP rankings were introduced in 2014, Utah has been ranked in the top 25 every week.

First-year Ute sophomore Mitch Wishnowsky is bidding to become Utah's third-straight Ray Guy Award winner as the country's best punter, following in the footsteps of Tom Hackett (2014-15 Ray Guy Award winner and consensus All-American). Wishnowsky—a CBS Sports, SI.com, FoxSports.com, ESPN.com, Sporting News and SportsOnEarth.com Midseason All-American—leads the nation in punt average (48.8), punts of 50+ yards (23) and punts inside the 10-yard line (13, tied). He is No. 2 in the nation and first in the Pac-12 in punts inside the 20-yard line (27) and percentage of punts inside the 20 (56.25%, 27-of-48). He has six punts at or inside the 5-yard line. Wishnowsky has not had a touchback since the first game of the season and has led Utah to a No. 1 national ranking in net punting (45.31). Â
 In the Huddle
With 939 net rushing yards in just six games played, Joe Williamsis 61 yards away from becoming the 13th player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season (three players did it twice in their careers). Williams is averaging 156.5 yards per game, which is on school-record pace. The Utah record for rushing yards per game in a season is 137.0, set by Carl Monroe in 1982 … Hunter Dimick set the Utah record for sacks in a game with five against ASU and his 27 career sacks is tied for the school record. Dimick's 6.5 tackles for loss against ASU is also a Utah single-game record and his 41.5 career TFL is the second-most all-time. His five sacks and 6.5 TFL against ASU are the most in the FBS in a game this season and both rank in the top-10 all-time in NCAA history—tied for No. 3 and No. 6, respectively … Right guard Sam Tevi, who was injured on the fourth play of the Washington game and missed last week's game, could potentially return to the starting lineup this week … Nine true freshmen have played: ZackMoss, Julian Blackmon, DemariSimpkins,Bradlee Anae,Terrell Burgess,LekiFotu, Tyler Huntley,Donavan Thompson and Devonta'e Henry-Cole.
 Two-Minute Drill
Utah is 1-2 against the North Division teams and 4-0 against the South … Utah has the two highest sack totals in the nation this season: 11 vs. Arizona State and 10 vs. San Jose State … Utah's school-record 22 tackles for loss against ASU is one off the national record … Utah's 11 sacks against ASU ranks second in school history and is the most in the nation this year (tied for sixth in NCAA history) … Saturday is the first of three-straight "senior days" for the Utes, who took part in ASU's senior night last week and will be present for Colorado's on Nov. 26 … Last week's win over Arizona State marked the fourth time this season that Utah has held an opponent under 100 yards rushing … Utah is 4-1 at home with wins over Southern Utah, BYU, USC and Arizona, and a loss to No. 4 Washington … The Utes have sold out 43 straight games in Rice-Eccles Stadium since the 2010 season opener.  Game Day Activities
The Ute Walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the corner of Guardsman Way and 500 South. The first 100 fans to show the promotional text (UtahFB to 53535) will receive a Utah Utes' beanie … John Fackler, advisor to the MUSS since its creation in 2002, will be recognized during the game. Fackler, who is retiring after the 2016-17 academic year, helped the MUSS grow from a few hundred members to 6,000 strong and earn a reputation as one of the nation's top student sections … The Utah gymnastics and softball teams will also be introduced on the field during breaks. Gymnastics won the 2016 NCAA Regional championship and made its 41st-straight national championship appearance, while softball reached the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament—its best finish since 1994.
