TUCSON, Ariz. - The Utah men's golf team returns to action competing in the National Invitational Tournament on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, Feb. 28-Mar. 1. The 54-hole tournament will be held at the Omni Tucson National in Tucson, Ariz.
The event will be played over three days, with golfers playing 18 holes each day while the low four of five scores will be counted each round for the team total. All rounds are scheduled to be an 8 a.m. MST start.
Contending with Utah in the field is tournament host, Arizona, along with Colorado State, Iowa State, Nevada, New Mexico State, Notre Dame, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Stephen F. Austin, UC Davis, UTEP, and Wyoming.
The Utes are coming off a 15th-place finish at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Kauai, Hawaii, finishing the 54-hole event with a score of 43-over par (907) at the Wailua Golf Course. Senior Brandon Kida led the Utes finishing in a tie for 57th-place after carding a three-day score of 10-over par (80-77-69=226).
